7 weeks today

I feel like shit on a shingle. I think I blocked out this part from my memory. This morning, I almost barfed while brushing my teeth. Then, in the car, whilst outlining the list of foods that sounded tasty to me (ramen noodles, tater tots, bloomin' onions, etc), I simultaneously felt my mouth begin to water in anticipation, and the bile rise in my throat as I even considered the possibility of eating.

I am trying to appreciate the crappiness of how I feel as it's a very present reminder of the fact that my hormones are doubling daily. I know this is no guarantee the baby is okay, but in the days before even getting a glimpse of my little parasite, it helps.

Help me push the Minotaur towards Rowan for a girl, ladies. That's my current pick, and it's jammed tight in my head for some reason. If it's a boy, he gets the name that would have been the Kraken's should she have sprouted testicles - Connor.

Psst--I'm one week behind you. ALso extremely anxious, although my numbers were doubling as of last week. I'm tired but very little nausea which could mean--it's a girl, or, it's not going to stick. My ultrasound is wed, when is yours???
I can't wait until I can start enjoying this journey with you instead of freaking out, maybe 8 more weeks? I'm dying to call you but scared, too, I don't want to jinx myself. AHHHHHHH.
In the meantime, ice cream. That's the only thing that worked for me. Ice cream and cereal. Occasionally pizza.
xoxo

I love both those names. Definitely go for Rowan for a girl, Mr. Kraken! It's beautiful!

Rowan was very high on my list for boy or girl--but my hubby vetoed. Of course, my name picks fluctuated daily for a while. Hang in there--you'll soon forget this part because you'll be thinking about the other things you didn't remember . . . by the way, congratulations! And to Amy too!

I love both names. I have a fondness for the boy name, hint hint.

Hang in there and before you know it you will be dealing with a teething baby just like me right now. Time flies by.

On another note, Congrats to Amy!! I know you don't blog anymore but please keep us updated on your progress. Would love to hear from you.
